Looking forward to date night at the Kennedy Center to see Evita, so I’m sharing this Argentinian piece.

Handmade wool tapestry:
handmade wool tapestry from Argentina
Asking: $200
Condition: “New.”
Dimensions: 66″ x 50″
Location: Bethesda, MD
Thoughts: It’s signed by someone who may or may not be famous in the world of tapestry (not a world I know much about). I’d use as a headboard alternative probably, like here.

This Sunday morning I’m lusting over a piece that neither fits my decor nor my budget, but it sure is pretty…

Kilim Rug Coffee Table / Ottoman:
Kilim Rug Coffee Table Ottoman
Asking: $1500
Condition: “Perfect”
Dimensions: Not provided
Location: McLean, VA
Thoughts: This is stunning and–I imagine–truly one of a kind. The seller has actually listed the whole room (below) for $5000, so there might be some room for negotiation on the ottoman.

Pair of authentic Moroccan leather poufs:
pair of moroccan leather poufs
Asking: $160
Condition: Like new
Dimensions: 22″ w x 14″ h
Location: North Arlington, VA
Thoughts: Poufs have been in for a while, but these look especially authentic, which makes them seem extra special/less trendy to me. Love the warm camel color.

Yellow Moroccan pouf:
yellow moroccan pouf
Asking: $75
Condition: New
Dimensions: Not provided
Location: Clarendon, VA
Thoughts: This one is definitely more trendy, but who’s to say that’s necessarily a bad thing. It’s cute!

Sprinkle your home with cool finds from around the world. You might not even have to travel across state lines to get them. CL is no substitute for real travel, of course–go get some stamps on your passport!–but it does save you the hassle of shipping things back and getting them through Customs.

Antique Asian altar table:

Asking: $900 for the table + a matching buffet and end table [No longer available]
Condition: There are some normal scratches in the finish on all three pieces, but no major damage.
Dimensions: Not provided
Location: Alexandria, VA
Thoughts: I’m assuming you could get this for $300, which is kind of a lot, but my gosh it’s pretty.

Pair of vintage Moroccan accent tables:

Asking: $185 [No longer available]
Condition: Not described
Dimensions: 18″ tall, 14″ wide
Location: Great Falls, VA
Thoughts: Such a fun pop of color, and the shape is great. And, of course, I love things that come in pairs.

Insanely awesome carved bed:

Asking: $999 for the bed + matching dresser, mirror and nightstand [No longer available]
Condition: Sturdy
Dimensions: Full/double bed (though the seller insists it could be converted to a Queen); headboard is 7′ tall
Location: Upper Montgomery County, MD
Thoughts: I love an upholstered headboard as much as the next girl, but you can’t really beat this for wow factor. Of course, most people (adult people, I mean) want a Queen or King, but if the seller is right and this can be converted, I think it would make for a show-stopping master bedroom (which I’m imagining in with navy blue or charcoal gray walls). The complete set would be overkill, so I’d just try to negotiate for the bed. I’d also want to know the story behind the piece–or at least its origin–so I hope they can provide that!
